Scheduled Travel Plan

Your journey to Valley of Flowers will start from the Yoga town Rishikesh. From Rishikesh you will start for Joshimath which is

270 km long and will take 8 to 9 hours. Along the way you will pass through four prayags - Devprayag, Rudraprayag

Karnprayag, and Nandprayag. In The late evening you will be in Joshimath and a comfortable hotel/guesthouse will be waiting for you.

Your valley of flower trek starts on the day 2 but before that a

short distance of cab ride is still left. You will start for

Govindghat in the morning after breakfast. From Govindghat the first leg of trekking will start towards the base camp at

Ghangaria. Along this scenic route you will observe waterfalls

coming down the mountains on the opposite side of the path,

lush greenery, and snow-capped mountains.

Welcome to the third day and this is the day you are going to experience heaven on earth. Have your breakfast and start

your trek from Ghangaria to Valley of Flower. It will take 2-3

hours to reach the valley. As you get closer the valley will

appear in the distance as a fabric with different color patches.

Explore the valley, take as many photographs as you can, and

be mesmerized with the beauty of such flowers you have never seen before. In the evening return back to your hotel or a guesthouse at Ghangaria.

Another major attraction in the valley of flower trek is trek to Hemkund Sahib. Hemkunt Sahib is a high-altitude Sikh Shrine with a picturesque glacial lake in front of it situated at an altitude of 4,327 meters above sea level. It is one of the highest and of the holiest gurudwaras of the world. Trek to Hemkund

will be steeper and more challenging than the valley of flower trek. Spend some time there and soak in the pious environment of the Gurudwara. Return to Ghangaria by evening and spend another night in a hotel or guest house.

It's day five and one more trek is left. On day five you will start your return journey, first trek to Govindghat from Ghangaria and then drive back to Joshimath and spend the night there.

This is the last day of your valley of flower trek. You will start towards Rishikesh which will take around 8-9 hours. By evening you will be Rishikesh, thus ending the memorable valley of flower trek

THINGS TO CARRY 

Sturdy Trekking Shoes: Invest in a good pair of trekking shoes that provide good ankle support and are comfortable for long hours

 

Warm Clothes: The temperature in the Valley of Flowers can drop significantly, especially at night. Carry warm clothes like thermals, fleece jackets, and down jackets.

 

Rain Gear: The Valley of Flowers is prone to sudden showers, so carrying a waterproof jacket or a poncho is important.

 

Sun Protection: Carry sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat to protect yourself from the harsh UV rays of the sun.

Water Bottles and Snacks: Carry enough water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and energized during the trek.

 

First Aid Kit: Carry a basic kit with bandages, antiseptic

Torch and Batteries: A torch or a headlamp is essential for navigating your way in the dark or during power cuts.

 

Trekking Pole: A trekking pole can provide good support and stability while walking on rough terrain.

 

Personal Toiletries: Carry a small towel, toilet paper, wet wipes, and hand sanitizer.

Package Cancellation Policy

We understand that planning an outdoor trip brings a lot of excitement and joy. However, we also know that cancellations can be disappointing. While Hello Hikers rarely cancels treks due to our efficient ground operations, cancellations can happen due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, government regulations, or any other factors beyond our control.

In such cases, the following cancellation policy will be applicable.

To ensure a hassle-free experience, we recommend making your booking at least two months in advance. If you do need to cancel your trek, please inform us in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive written advice.

We have designed a cancellation policy that is fair, feasible, and convenient for all our customers. The procedure is as follows:

  • If you cancel your trek 21 or more days before the start date, we will deduct 10% towards GST and transaction charges and refund 90% as a trek voucher valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 15-20 days before the start date, we
    will deduct 30% towards GST, transaction,
    accommodation at base, ration, etc., and refund 70% as a trek voucher valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 7-14 days before the start date, we will deduct 50% towards GST, transaction,
    accommodation at the base, ration, trek leaders, permits, equipment, etc., and refund 50% as a trek voucher that is
    valid for 1 year.
  • If you cancel your trek 1-6 days before the start date, we will deduct 100% as all arrangements have been made, and we are ready to take you on the trek.

We also have some terms and conditions for the trek voucher:

  • The voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date of
    issuance.
  • The voucher can be used for any trek with Hello Hikers.
